Clinical and Forensic Psychiatry Training

Dr. Gold provides medical education at the graduate and post-graduate level and supports professional development by offering continuing education, in-service, and teaching in professional mental health practice. Her training emphasizes skill development in clinical and forensic settings and the applications of mental health practice within the legal environment.

Dr. Gold teaches and writes extensively on clinical and forensic psychiatry topics. She is a Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at Georgetown University Medical Center, where she is Associate Director of the Program in Psychiatry and Law, teaching residents and forensic psychiatry fellows. She is active in the American Academy of Psychiatry and the Law, a professional organization dedicated to education, where she sits on the program and education committees. In 2006, Dr. Gold was Program Director for the American Academy of Psychiatry and Law Annual Meeting in Chicago, IL .

Dr. Gold also lectures throughout the United States on clinical and forensic psychiatric subjects, providing training to mental health professionals, general medical professionals, forensic clinicians, attorneys, insurance claims assessors, and human resources professionals, among others.
